Sad memories of the past. A call for for duty

I could still remember when I covered a police operation in the hinterlands of Bansalan, Davao del Sur, and found out next week that it was the last company we had with PO3 Vernie Luis Humol. He and three of his companions died three weeks after of the said coverage when the same patrol car was ambushed by New People’s Army rebels in the same place.

It was the only incident when I was not there with the police team when they were ambushed. I usually covered any operation they have.
