ALL would go for the 42nd Araw ng Davao del Sur on July 1, as one of its highlight the Department of Education sponsored marching band competition, has showed the people their enthusiast of playing band, trumpet, cymbals and other music equipments.
Three major winners will go home with P90K for the champion, P60K for the second placer and the 3rd placer will also get P30,000,00.
As I covered the event, I personally witnessed how far Davao del Sur has improved a lot compared to the previous years.
Students from different DepEd division here, shown their ability and skills in music which is a good example even to the out –of- school youth to prevent them from doing bad things such as drinking liquor, smoking cigarette and other substance.
In the previous years, only drum lyre and bugle will mostly shown to founding activities in some towns, city and the province, but now, the marching band has entered into the minds of the schools administrators which is very hard to learn if you will not practice seriously.
Doing ambition like learning to play guitar, piano, violin, orchestras and other music instruments is just easy but if you already handled these instruments it is so hard to do it if you will not love to play on it.
I can still remember during my age of 12, when my departed grandfather teaches me how to play guitar, although I have mastered it but when my Lolo have died I stop playing guitar.
Until now, it seems I have forgotten some of the guitar keys because I only play it sometimes.
This time if I can see people handling music instruments how I wish I could also learn how to play these things.
