Hey guys, I think we are the luckiest town ever in the province of Davao del Sur living in a highly urbanized community as we are steeping forward to the world of E-technology.
Mayor Edwin Reyes, municipal town executive, started his project on Saturday, installing surveillance camera from the municipal lobby and soon to the entire public market, overland terminal and major streets here.
In a conversation we had, he told me that being a town of investment, the business community must be protected from all lawless elements...
He told me that even if he was out of town during his official travel, he still could monitor what is going on in town because of the internet.
Even employees of the local government could not excuse during their time of office because they cannot escape from their respective jobs due to camera are installed anywhere in the municipal lobby.
As far as I know, in the whole Davao del Sur province and even in the city of Digos, only the town of Bansalan, has this first innovation.
Even during night time people are safety when they were strolling around the major streets of our town because of the web camera installed in secret location.
The monitor of the said surveillance camera will be placed inside the mayor’s office.
The mayor also said that terrorist activities such as bombing incident could also be prevented and if not suspects were easily trace due to the camera installed in bus terminals.
With our mayor’s innovative there’s no reason that Bansalenues will not choice him again in the coming 2010 election..
